GET TO KNOW KATHRYN

Hi. My name is Kathryn and I’m a psychotherapist here at Enso Psych Group.
I’m available for individual and family counseling with adolescents and adults.

MY THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My goal is to help my clients find meaning and healing by guiding them through their self-exploration with compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental perspective. My work focuses on providing individuals the safe space they need to explore their inner world and work towards their personal goals.
The perspectives which guide my work include mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy methods, as well as Rogerian techniques centered around providing the client with a non-judgmental, authentic and empathic environment.
It is my belief that the counselor serves as a guide for the client towards self-discovery and self-empowerment. By decreasing the power of stigma, negativity, and other barriers through talking, the client opens up more space for growth and movement towards their life goals.
I appreciate your interest in entering into counseling, and would be happy to help you on your path to find more balance and contentment.

 MY EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

I’m  a graduate of DePaul University (B.F.A.) in Chicago, and Florida State University (M.S., Ed.S.).
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (license # MH 16313), with the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.
I have over 3 years of experience providing counseling and psychotherapy.
